Myra Sadker Advocates for Gender Equity

David Sadker, along with his late wife Myra, are the undisputable King and Queen of research on gender equity in education in the 20th century. Of note on his website is an excellent survey and analysis of the recent bonanza of books about boys. After Myra's untimely death from breast cancer, her legacy continues and the Myra Sadker site has many lesson plans and resources and provides information on awards to teachers for exemplary gender equity lessons. With his current partner, Phyllis Lerner (interweave), a notable gender equity expert herself, Sadker continues his tradition of keeping a focus on issues of girls and education. Sadker and Lerner are extraordinary successful trainers on gender equity throughout the country and are highly recommended.
